I’m so cool, I blog on my ipod

April 25, 2009

Yes. I found the iPod touch wordpress app.

My life is now less complete.

So I was thinking to myself today, while watching the toatally rad video for Evermore’s “Hey boys and girls”, how cool does one have to be to make out with the microphone the way some singers do? Like, the whole moving your head around the mic when it’s on a stand. I mean, if I were to get up on a stage and sing (pfft ha!) and do that, I would look like a complete and utter twat. Whereas Evermore singer guy gets up and does so and no-one gives a shit. I was also watching Rick Astley doing a simmilar thing, but I personally believe that he was doing so while crossing the line between cool and lame multiple times… So, let me know what you think, what determines ones right to make love to a microphone? How cool do you have to be?

And that’s how I feel after listening to Never Gunna Give You Up on repeat for an hour.

And so I leave you with this;

This one time, at band practice…

February 18, 2009

Tonight, I had band practice with my band.
Obviously.

We rent out a space near The Riverway which is a fully equipped band room.

We have me on the bass, Scott on the Rhythm Guitar, Jimmy on the Lead Guitar and Alex G on the drums. We do this every Wednesday night

And tonight we even had Jimmy’s girlfriend come along.

In all, the night was a flop.

We didn’t get much done and there was a lot of tension in the room.

Now, whats interesting is what happened after the band practice (Which usually isn’t the case)

First off, their is a door into the band room which will start beeping if you leave it open long enough. Which we usually do.

But tonight we left it open for almost 7 minutes after band.  As me ans Scott were about to leave in Scotts brother driving us, this car comes up and slightly blocks our way.

The headlights are beaming so much that the drivers face is hidden behind the windshield.

No one was coming out of the car.

We were a but skeptical at first but eventually we decided to just drive past it.

As we were driving past Scott winded down his window and we were relieved to see it was just a security guard.

We got out of Riverway and started to head towards the turn off to Kern Brothers Drive behind the Sunland Plaza car park and where the traffic lights are.

Only problem. The traffic lights were FUCKING OFF!

So after some crazy turns and a few roundabouts later, we were on Kern Brothers Drive.

Even more so, majority of the Kern Bro’s lights were off to. It was insane.

There were little patches of street lights on. Still fucking eerie though.

After some trouble of directing Scotts brother back to my house, we got into my street and I praised the heavens my Power was on.

I got out of the car, walked up the driveway with a bass and an amp, waited 5 minutes for someone to open the goddamn door, got inside, drank some water, took a piss, washed my hands, made wraps with some chicken, lettuce and chili sauce and wrote this blog.

GOOD FUCKING NIGHT!
